delegate message "on behalf of"

Hi there

We wish to remove this from the "from" field.

We want the recipient to simply see the message came from the one who
granted Delegate access, not 'on behalf of'

Any way we can do this with Exchange 2003 and Outlook XP?

You'll need to assign the Send As permission to the other person, using
Active Directory Users and COmputers.
 
That's a different matter. "Delegates" includes granting "Send on behalf of"
permission (which is weaker than Send As) and permission to specific
folders.

Yes, we do, when we want to grant Send on Behalf Of rights (or other shared
folder access but not access to the entire kit & kaboodle). :-)

If you grant the user Send As rights on the server, you should take the
delegate rights away in Outlook - Send As will grant the user access to
everything in
the mailbox, I believe, as well as showing Joe Bloggs as the sender instead
of Jane Doe on behalf of Joe Bloggs.
 
No, Send As grants no particular rights to individual folders in the
mailbox. It just does what it says -- allows you to send as a particular
user.
 
Thanks again. It's all now working as the users want it.. It wasn't very
obvious where to find it in ADUC, but now I know.

Boy, am I glad I added "I believe" as a minor disclaimer. Must admit I've
never tested this myself; an urban myth to this effect has long been in
circulation in the Exchange groups - even amongst some of the other Exchange
MVPs I'll just slink off into the corner now and pretend this never
happened.
