Delayed Write Failure

i have a Dell Dimension 4550 running XP home edition. Been
running sweet for months. Updates are all up to date.

Loaded a piece of crap program (Netowrk Modem Speed) to
improve cable modem speed and now all I get are Delayed
Write Failed messages when I start up and try to boot.

Was able to safe boot and uninstall the program but still
getting the errors.

Any ideas.
