Delayed Start Menu

My start menu is delayed and it takes 5-10 seconds for
the programs to appear as I click on the menus. Have
already changed the MenuShowDisplay value in the
registry. Makes no difference. Does anyone have a
solution?

How much memory do you have? I don't like to run WinXP with less than
256MB of RAM. Also, check to see how many programs (and what they are)
are running in the background. Try running less programs/services.
