delayed e-mails

Hi, I have a problem with e-mails which are delayed reaching their
intended recipients. This is on a ramdom basis and the delay can be as
much as 2 to 3 days. I have set up a delivery receipt on all outgoing
e-mails and these are being returned in a timely manner. The problem is

not restrictred to one our to e-mail addresses but can be to any
address I sent to. I sent 3 e-mail to one client, 2 arrived almost
immediately but the third took 2 days to get there. Any ideas how I
might track this one down?

Clients are usine outlook 2000 on a windows 2003 SBS server.

I'd say this is out of your control if the email has actually left you. You
could check with an SBS or Exchange group and see if the email has truly
left.
