Delay on network neighborhood?

I upgraded my pc to win xp pro from win98 se. After that, such a strange
problem occured; I can see all workgroups and PC's in the lan, they can send
and receive files to and from my PC, but whenever I click some of them
windows explorer stops responding for 12-15 minutes. Everything looks normal
after that, but if I click someone else, same thing happens.... Could anyone
help me please?

If you enter "slow browsing" in the microsoft knowledgebase, 2 of the list
suggest the following.
1) You have kaperski antivirus software running
2) Attempting to browse windows me or 98 from xp can be very slow and is a
known problem.

Go to microsoft knowledgebase and see if anything helps there.
