Delay in Shutdown

Morning all

I've got 2 HP-DL380's in a cluster. All working fine
except that when we shutdown (either node, after fail-
over), the server closes the GUI part and then just stops
at a black screen with just a cursor in the top-left.
It stops like this for about 30 minutes before eventually
rebooting. It's obviously waiting for something to timeout
but I've got no idea what (or how to find out).

Your help would be apprecaited

take a look at here

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;146092

ignore the fact its talking of increasing time.... but use the
details it provides to try reducing the time allocated to each
service. Experiment with optimum times

for instance my WaitToKillServiceTimeout is set to only 200 and
allows quick shutdowns with no problems. (which is appreciably
shorter than the 20000 standard!)
