Delay in music stopping

This is a bit of a longshot, and I'm posting various similar enquiries
in other groups, as well as the appropriate online forum.

I have a music player, Media Monkey (version 2.2.2.781). When I close
the program the window closes - but there's a consistent LONG delay of
about 5 seconds before the music stops playing.

No delay at all in any other player, such as WMP, WinAmp, RealPlayer,
GoldWave, dBpoweramp, etc. Type of file (MP3, WMA, etc) not a factor.

Anyone here with any idea what may be causing this annoying problem
please? Needless to say, it's darned annoying!

It is the fault of the application. What it does is fill a buffer with
music so that it is always a little bit ahead of the music that is
playing. This helps with playback so you don't have any skips. When
you close the application, most programs will clear the buffer and exit,
but this program just exists and finishes playing what is in the buffer.
They may fix this in the future. You can always ask them directly
about it.

Thanks, that's helpful. I've notified the developer too. Hope he can
fix it, as MM has some attractive features.
