Defragmenting

I have 1 folder or file that will not defragment, according to the report.
No one seems to know how I can find out what it is and delete if it is
necessary, or defragment it.

Using XP's native defrag or a 3rd-Party defragmenter program ?
There are a number of files that XP's defrag doesn't process, so
having a few left untouched isn't an issue.

It's often the System Restore folder, and there isn't really a big need to
defragment it. You probably can't see this because IIRC that folder is set
to system and hidden; you must turn on the display of such folders to see
it. That will not, however, permit its defragmentation.

Don't worry about it, especially if using the built in defragmenter.
There are some files it won't do.

You can find out what it is by reading the report after analysing the drive.

Really? It always defrags all of my files, on three computers. I know of
at least another ten computers that have the same experience.
