I have just run a defrag after a repair install and find that I have 17
fragments in windows\memory dump totalling 1024MB, is it necessary to have a
memory dump?

I also have 526 fragments in i386\driver\cab totalling 73Mb can I do
anything about this?

Hi,

It's not necessary to keep the memory dumps unless you are trying to debug
something (meaning you also know how to open and read one of these). Leave
the I386 folder and contents alone, this is where your backup of the system
files are. Some fragmentation is normal, and is quite harmless.

By the way, how can I run defrag to look good without too many red sections,
it worries me when I see too much red and in different locations, or
shouldn't I bother too much about it
