defrag has disappeared

It no longer appears in start>all programs>system tools

I can run it using the help menu and selected the hyperlink from there, can
anyone advise how to get it back in the above listing?

Download contig.exe from sysinternals.com
It's better faster and free.
 
Here is one way.

Paste the following line into the Start | Run box and click OK...

%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools

Right click a blank spot in the right hand pane, point to New and click on
Shortcut.

Paste this line in the location box...

%SystemRoot%\System32\dfrg.msc

Click the Next button.

Paste this line in the name box...

Disk Defragmenter

Click the Finish box.
