I have had Outlook Beta 2007 loaded on my HP Pavilion notebook for about two
months. Today was the second time that I had a warning message when I opened
Outlook:

Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot
fulfill the messaging request.

When I go to Mail Setup and click on E-mail Accounts, I get an error message
"Not Implemented". I am now forced to reload the software AGAIN to fix the
problem with my e-mail.

No thanks, I am removing this from my computer. You obviously have a lot
more work to do with Outlook Beta to fix some major bugs. This is the second
time I am stuck on the road with no e-mail. The only thing I have done is to
download and install updates from Microsoft.

You do realize that beta software shouldn't be used on machines where the
functionality of the software is critical.

You are right about that. But here is the problem If you want to run the
Beta, there is know choice in using Outlook. I can't very well test it if I
don't load it. If I load it, I am stuck with the beta of Outlook. That is a
Microsoft issue. A real catch 22.

Multiple machines, multiple hard drives or virtual machines are the usual
ways to test the software without harming a production machine.

Which is why I keep Outlook Express installed along with Outlook 2007.
BTW - have you installed the beta refresh?

No, I am not aware of a Beta refresh. Good idea about the Outlook Express.

I did a repair on my system and that actually worked this time, but for how
long I don't know. I do have VMware installed so I can go that route. Much
better plan.

Thanks for the feedback.
