defective drop-down lists.

I want to report a defect in XP system. I have a
dyslexia problem and when reading I have to concentrate
rather intensely on the lettering. Many of the MS XP
drop-down lists have the very annoying defect of
expanding for no apparent reason and with no warning. It
is, at the very least, extremely aggravating to be
concentrating on individual lettering and then suddenly
have the words disappear on me. Nowadays dyslexia is a
fairly well known problem and it is hard to imagine that
the management at Microsoft would deliberately install a
program that uses, for whatever reasons, such shockingly
inconsiderate drop-down lists. Please advise on how to
correct what is obviously a defect in the XP programming.

You can configure AutoComplete to save and suggest only
the information you want. You can choose whether to use
AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or
not use it all. You can also clear the history for any of these.

To adjust AutoComplete settings:

1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Content tab.
3. Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
4. Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

Thank you very much for the quick reply, Carey. I
thought there'd be a way to fix it. I will put your
suggestions to good use.
