Is is possible within WinXP Pro to default the file view
settings to always show details? My system currently is
defaulted to the "tiles" setting and I have to change it
manually each time. Help is appreciated.

.
Set My Computer window to details, then from the tools
menu, folder options, view tab - select like current
folder. All windows should display in detail mode.

Also ensure that in the Folder Options>View tab.
Advanced Settings>Remember Each Folder's View Settings is checked.

Martin.
