Hi,

I recently installed another web browser to check it out.
As it proved to be slower than the Internet Explorer, I
uninstalled it again. Now, Win XP doesn't know anymore
which is the default web browser. Because of this, I can
no longer open links I receive in e-mails or which are
placed in Office documents. How can I again set the
Internet Explorer to be the default browser ?

Greetings --

Goto your Control Panel>>Add/Remove Programs and click on "Set Program
Access Defaults" From there change your settings for IE/OE

Hello,
Go to start\control panel\network and internet
connections\internet options\programs tab, check box at
bottom: internet explorer should check to see if it is
the default browser. You can also do it manually:
start\my computer\tools menu\folder options\file types
tab: find file types for browser(htm, html, etc.)and
change "opens with" to ie. Good Luck.
