OK,
I have read through quite a few forums looking for any setting to set the
default user name and organization on any new setup I install.

I did find the issue with the RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization
both had a blank (" ") in them. I change them and restarted my computer.

I am still getting a Clank (" ") on every new install.

Does anyone have any Idea what else I can change?

Thanks

Well, I'm not sure I understand the problem; unless you're using an
answer file with an unattended installation, those settings are supposed
to be blank, for completion during the installation. Is that not what's
happening?

Hi Bruce,
This is the first time that the User Name and Organization have been blank.
I have installed application on many computers. It is using the value that
was originally entered in the registry of a Blank (" "). I am just trying to
figure out how to get any new setups to show the User Name and Organization.

I am not doing this with any install scripts. This is when I am using the
Install user interaction mode.

Then you've been using some sort of customized installation CD. Have
you consulted whomever originally created it?

Either enter them manually at the time of installation, or resume using
that customized installation CD.

Bruce,
I hope you have experience in creating installs. I am talking about
installs that you can download from Microsoft. I have made many "Default
Setups" for applications I have written and they all use Microsoft’s engine
and fill in the Default user and Organization. Here is an example of what I
am talking about Bruce.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Just
go download any of them and you will see, if you name is filled in right at
original install it will have it displayed. If you have an OEM version of XP
(at least IBM's OEM) you will have only a Space (" ").

Does anyone else have any Ideas?
