I am running Win 98, Excel 2000. I use an on-line
application that allows me to run a report in the excel
format. When the report launches, it puts excel
integrated into the web browser. You can add the excel
toolbars by clicking view, toolbars but you have to do
this every time you view a report.

How do I add the excel toolbar options as a default on my
browser window?

There's a setting in Windows that you can change. (I use win98, too.)

In win98, I can do this:
Start Windows Explorer
View|Folder Options
File Types Tab
scroll down to MS Excel Worksheet
Select it
click the edit button
There's an option to "browse in same window". Uncheck it.

That's where you can toggle the "confirm open after download", too.

Might help you set it up the way you want.
