When I create a new task, the status is "not started". I want to change the
default status for new tasks to "in progress". How do I make this change?
The reason for wanting to make this change is that all new tasks created in
the "not started" status do not show up in the task pane on my calendar, and
are not transferred in a hot sync to my Palm.
Thanks, Joe

Create a task form with the :"in progress" option showing and publish it to
your forms library, then use it as the default for new tasks. (Hint, right
click tasks folder, select properties, browse to your form under the
dropdown for 'use this form when...')

What setting for the TaskPad are you using and why?
