I installed a piece of software and certificates to be able to use a wireless
network in my university library but it's changed my logon screen and shut
down menu. Even though I've uninstalled it I can't seem to be able to go back
to the way it used to be. Any one know, short of doing a system restore how
to have the default ones that come out of the box?

Click START, click CONTROL PANEL, click USER ACCOUNTS, click CHANGE THE WAY
USERS LOG ON OR OFF, place a check mark in the USE THE WELCOME SCREEN check
box.

I wish it was this easy for me. I had a chat session with a HP geek and he
wasn't seeing the same window I was. After selecting User Accounts, I am
looking at a list of USERS for my computer and on the bottom "Passwords for
Administrators" - - I have XP PRO

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords". Press ENTER. This takes you to the User Accounts applet.
