Default Save Location

That depends on the program you are saving from. For example, Word 2002
allows you to change that from the Tools menu, Options, File Locations tab.

Many other programs will have similar settings in Preferences or Options.

Well, yes and no, you can move "My Documents". Right click "My Documents"
and select Properties. Press the Move... button and select where to move
it. When you now save files in "My Documents" they will be saved in the
target directory.
