default save in location

When I go under File and Save as, it comes up with a window that has a "save
in" location that always changes to the previous saved path (wherever I last
saved a file). I would like this to always default to one location, ie: the
root of the H: drive, and not change as I work. Is there anywhere to set a
default path or location so that it always comes up, not just the first time
I save something?

Thanks
Steve

Change the Default Windows Installation Directory

If you like to install your files on a specific drive or partition other
than the default ?Program Files? directory, this tip may be just the thing
for you. To change the directory, do as follows:

1.) Go to Start/Run and enter Regedit in the prompt. Hit enter.
2.) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion.
3.) Double click on the ProgramFilesDir value in the right window.
4.) Change the value to the directory you want to be the default
installation folder. Hit enter.
5.) Reboot the computer for the setting to take effect.

He wanted to know about the Save in box in the Save As dialog. I.e. File |
Save As...

Save in box
[[Specifies the location where you want to locate a file or folder. Click
the arrow to select another location, or click the up arrow on the toolbar
to move up levels.

The box below lists the items in the selected location. To open a file, in
the Open dialog box, double-click the name of the file you want to open. To
save a file using an existing file name, in the Save dialog box,
double-click the name of the file you want to save.]]

Thanks for your response.

I don't want to change the installation directory. Let me try to give an
example.

Open Internet Explorer, go to file, save as, and note the location listed
under save in. Now change that to c:\windows\temp and hit save. Now close
Internet Explorer, Open Internet Explorer, go to File, save as, and notice
that the save in directory is now the temp folder. This changes to reflect
the last location where files were saved. I don't want this to change. I am
trying to find a way to have this always be the same directory, C:\ for
example.

Thanks for any ideas.
