default mail client

I am trying to forward an answer I got from this board
through the microsoft.com website, support, newsgroups...

When I click on forward (e-mail), instead of forwarding
the selected message, I get a totally usless popup that
say it can't forwarded because the mail client is
improperly installed.

My mail client is OE6, SP1.

It forwards ok from my newsgroup server, from web-based
email, and does a direct forward of downloaded mail.
Actually, I'm not sure if I have it named as the "default
client."

Any ideas of what to look for to fix the --whatever--
problem the message: "cannot pergorm this operation
because the default mail client is imporperly installed,"
is talking about?
 
Go to control panel, internet options, programs, and make sure OE is set as
default mail client.
