Default Highlighting text colours

Dear,
I ask for help to change the default colors for text highlighting in WORD
2003.
Most of the default colors are very dark, which make it difficult to use.

The highlight colors cannot be changed.

You may be interested in the work-around provided by Greg Maxey in an add-in
(adds shading instead of highlight). See:
