default folder

Each time I go to Save or Save As a file the dialog box takes me to My
Documents which is a folder that I never use. How can I change the default
folder for the Save or Save As dialog box?

You don't. Keep your personal data files in or nearby the MY DOCUMENTS
folder to avoid extra mouse-clicks. If you want to move this folder to
a more proper location you can do this with the Windows Explorer-
