Default Folder Options - Changing?

I cannot change the default view on folders from icons to details as a
default.

Can a default be set so that the view is always details?
 
Best I know you can not
You have to do it as a seperat comand each time you open a folder you wish to view as details good news is you only have to do it once.

I did it by setting one, and then setting all like the first one.

It was quite easy.
