default editor

I have somehow changed the editor to Notepad and whenever i click on an icon
or shortcut I get a blank Notepad page,
How can I change it back to the normal default?

Editor for what? What file extension?

Well as much info I can draw, you accidentally changed the defaults to
notepad and want to restore it back. Try this. Open Windows Explorer,
Click on Tools and choose Folder options. Click on File Types and here
in the list you can choose the file extension you wish to restore.

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Fixes, File Association Fixes. LNK and EXE file Association Fixes. If its only shortcuts, then use the LNK fix. If its shortcuts and executables, use both.
