Default Domain Name

I am looking for a registry edit that will permanently set the default domain
name. What I want to happen is if a user logs in to the local PC the logon
screen default domain name will reset to the one set in the registry when the
user logs out. Can you help? Thanks for any replies

Outside of having all users use UPN logins, I don't believe this is
possible. It's really a user training issue.

(and why would you have local accounts for anyone anyway?)
