I have a website running on IIS 5, using NT Authentication against an
Active Directory Domain.
The fully qualified domain for my Active Directory is something to the
effect of AD.COMPANY.COM
the website is located at:
http://www.mysite.com
When a user comes in and tries to access the site, they get the
standard NT authentication box. The problem is that if they enter
just their username, the browser tries to authenticate them against
www.mysite.com\username, instead of ad.company.com\username.
I've tried to explain to the users that they need to enter
ad.company.com\username when they log in, but this is beyond their
technical understanding.
Is there any way I can make it so that the website or the domain
controller knows to interpret the www.mysite.com as ad.company.com?
