Default Design Template name

HI,
In the bottom centre of PP it says defualt design, when i
create new templates how can i change this or remove it so
it is in line with the template. it is held under
properties > summary but you can't access it.
We do hve some with different file names in the bottom,
but not usre how they got there :s
any help gratefully recieved

The "default design" label is to help you know what "template" or "powepoint design template" was applied to this
presentation.

If you apply another template the label will change from "default design" to whatever the template is called.

Thats my problem it dosnt! When I create my new template
it has default at the bottom :/
any other ideas?

Open PowerPoint, open the POT file, go to View > Master > Slide Master. In
the outline pane right click on the thumbnail and select "Rename Master".
Give it a new name and resave the template.
 
OK here's one way, with xp not sure with earlier versions.
Create your "design template" as a normal presentation, albeit one slide
eg. Edit the master slides to your requirements.
Save the presentation as a presentation with a filename you want as your
template name.
Then close powepoint and re-open it
If you can't see the New Presentation task pane, on the File menu, click
New.
Click Choose presentation, select the presentation you just saved and
click Create New.
Delete the first slide (you only want the masters).
On the File menu, click Save As.
Give it a name.
In the Save as type box, click Design Template.
Save.
