I installed Advanced browser on my unit. I try to get I E back as the default, but when I open a program from desktop short cut it opens in Advanced, why? I f I click on IE it will open to the internet is this right, and should I get rid of the advanced browser? I know you can tell I'm a newbie by the type questions I ask. Thanks for all the help!

Go to Start > Set Program Access and Defaults and set IE
as your default browser.

First, see if there is any option in Advanced Browser for reverting the default browser back to Internet Explorer. (MyIE2 has a Undo feature). See: http://www.advancedbrowser.com

If nothing helps, apply this registry fix:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IE_Default_Browser.reg

If running XP SP1, you may try this as well:
Type the command "shmgrate.exe OCInstallReinstallIE" in the RUN box. Reboot and see if the problem is solved.
