I'm sure this is a long shot, but is there a way to set the default
account to use when sending to a particular e-mail address?

For example, I might want to always use E-mail Account A when sending
to Person B, and always use E-mail Account C when sending to Person D.

Is is possible to configure that? If so, I haven't found it...

I see you're a man of few words...

Basically, he is correct, there are no _user friendly_ way of doing it
within any version of MS Outlook, but if you are asking if there is a slim
chance of doing it, then I would guess the answer could be "maybe", if you
would considerate coding as an option, or if anyone has already created such
a solution (add-in?). If you could consider coding as an solution, then
www.slipstick.com is the place to start.

As an interesting note to this, when you do an reply to an email (it might
be something you can take advantage of):

OL2000: Your reply email will use your default email account to send your
email, regardless of what account you used to retrieve the email with.

OL2002: Outlook will try to send through the account which was used to
retrieve the email. If it fails doing so, it will use any account available
to send the email.

OL2003: If Outlook can't send using the account which was used to retrieve
the email with, then the email will reside in the Outbox until the account
might be available again. It might stay there for ever :-)

-I am sorry I can't give you a better answer.

Best regards,

Robert

"Bother," said Pooh as he struggled with the computer.

"It never does quite what I want."

"I wish Christopher Robin were here."

And how would this automatically assign the selected account for sending to
a specific person?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Can-so asked:
