How can I decode garbage that was originally Japanese? I
copied the text to a Word document. Thanks in advance.

Why would you want to "decode" "garbage" ?
How is it encoded? This will then point you to the appropriate method of
decoding it.
Since you have however already described it as "garbage" is that garbage of
value to you ? If so why use the word garbage to describe it?

If you are actually asking how do you translate some Japanese text into some
other language such as English, then you will need to use an appropriate
translation engine.
Use your favourite search engine for "Japanese to English" and it will
return a number of results that may be of use to you.

By the way describing a foreign language or text/writing system as "garbage"
is offensive.

Isn't garbage the technical term to describe coded
messages that cannot be read?

Foreign text sometimes becomes garbage as it travels over
the internet. This is a sample of the garbage that I must
decode:

Does anyone have any helpful information?

Thank you

If you think Japanese language is "garbage", you should see
"English"! Check it out; it's really "garbage"!

Did you read all of my message?
Did you do the search and have you tried any of the many services and tools
it returns?

I think he might mean that the text might be like this: æÇì∞Éαû╛ and he wants
it back into Japanese.... That is probably why he can't translate or read
it.... If someone can help me with that problem, if it is not the same thing,
that would be appreciated.
