decoding rar files

There are some rar files that I would like to decode
sometimes, but I do not have anything on Windows that
does that. I tried Quick Time and Real Audio also, but
it would not decode it, either. I am trying to open
these files i accessed from a newsgroup. Thanks for any
help anyone can give me.

..rar files are compressed files similier to .zip.
You need to use an un-compressor program that can handle rar files.

The excellant freeware ZipGenius will decode .rar files.
