Decimal Places

I have a field for exhange rate. It is set to number
Field size is Long Integer
Format is General Number
Deciaml place is 2
When I enter a value in the field it does't display that value, it rounds it to the nearest whole number.
Ex. if i enter 1.55 it rounds up to 2
How can i fix this

Change Field Size to Double or Single. Integers are whole numbers, without
decimal places.
