I have Office 2003. I use PowerPoint regularly. I want to know how to decimal
align the numbered bullets. They look fine as long as they are single digits,
but look different when a second digit is added. Can you help, please?

You can set a decimal tab in the ruler, just like you do in Word. When I
just tried this, I found that one problem is that if you hit TAB before
typing anything, you don't actually TAB, you increase indent, so you have
to type something at the beginning of the line and then hit TAB. You can
delete what you typed later.

To set a decimal tab, click in the text box you want numbers aligned.
Look at the ruler. Look to the left of the ruler, and you will see a box
with a little L (or the lower-left corner of a square). Click on that a
couple of times until the L turns into an upside-down T with a dot in it.
Now click anywhere on the ruler, and you will have set a decimal tab.
Next, start typing by typing any letter and hitting tab and typing your
number.

On the money, sir. One little addition in case it's not obvious: the idea
here is to enter your numbers manually in the text box rather than relying on
PPT to do numbered bullets automatically for you.

Steve, David. Thank you gentlemen. That is what I thought. It seems silly to
have MS offer Numbered Bullets, if one is unable to enhance their placement
in relation to each other. At least they'd be self-correctingly,
right-aligned in case of long lists. Thank you, guys for taking the time to
clarify it to me. I'll just avoid the 'convenience' of MS's numbering bullets.
