After installing two different games, one from the
internet (Pogo Game) the other from disk (The Sims), I
can't access them. I get a message that says "Debugger
detected. Unload debugger and try again." I didn't
knowingly add anything except Norton Antivirus which came
with the e-machine tower. Is this causing the problem or
is there something else? If it is something other than
Norton is it something I can remove easily (if at all!) so
that these games will work?

Hi seacollies2,

That issue may occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:

a.. There are programs (such as an antivirus program or debugging software)
that run in the background and that interfere with the game startup process.
b.. Your sound card or sound card drivers are outdated.
c.. The Creative Audigy sound card is installed in your computer. This sound
card may conflict with the game startup process.

Jimmy,
Thank you so very much for the link. I appreciate the time
you took to post it for me. With so many possibilities to
try I'm sure one of them will work!
Thanks again.
