Today, using Disc Cleanup, I noticed a category that I have never seen
before: Debug Dump Files. I am not having any problems with my computer, but
haven't a clue what these are. I'm afraid when I went to the support area of
Microsoft web site, it was over my head as I have not created these files, at
least not on purpose. What are they and should I allow Disc Cleanup to erase
them?

Dump files are often created when either windows crashed or some other
program crashes and dumps a file that can be debugged. You can get rid
of them if you want, no harm. If you feel like debugging them, go nuts
at the MS Debugger site:
