Hi

What on earth are Debug Dump Files? I just ran disk
cleanup and the category "Debug Dump Files" is there
taking up 261,688k of space! I have never noticed this
before. Can anyone tell me if it's safe to delete these
files?

Denise

Hi Denise,

These are either memory.dmp files that are created when "blue screen" errors
occur, or they are user.dmp files that are created when you have a Dr.
Watson error.

Hi Ken

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I know I sound like
a total idiot but is it safe to delete these files when
doing the disk cleanup. The checkbox is already selected
when I open up Disk Cleanup so can I assume then that
it's safe to just let Windows do it's thing and delete
them?

I had this happen twice this year and I deleted them without any
problem that I know of. :-)
