hi all. My girlfriend recently bought a tiny machine on xp home. She
installed service pack 2 which slowed things up big time. She attempted a
system restore to before service pack install. The machine locked up and
stayed locked during this so she switched it off. on attempting to reboot the
message disk error comes up. have run the restore disk but i get the message
"failed to read directory of file header 151773028". I have tried to
re-install the operating system without success. It gets to the checking c
drive stage and then stops at 8%. Don't really want to return to base if i
can crack it myself. Not worried about losing files as there is hardly
anything on it. Can anyone of you good buddies please help. fanx

Did you delete all partitions when it got to that part after booting from
the CD?

Could be bad hardware.

If you mean that you have a PC built by Tiny that has Windows XP: and if you
need to reinstate it to factory fresh, then use the Tiny restore CD.

Forget anything else, you may not have all the skills.

The Tiny restore CD set will have you up and running in 30-40 minutes.
