DBX vs PST!

Q1 . is it possible to access dbx file used for outlook express to in Ms
Outlook 2003?

Q2. in outlook 2003 what is difference between if open a forien PST file
either by opening a new outlook data file, by FILE> OPEN> OUTLOOK DATA file

and if we import that PST file.?

Which way suggested?

No not directly. You can IMPORT dbx files if they are in Outlook Express,
but Outlook cannot open dbx files otherwise.
 
1. DBX files can only be used by OE, not Outlook. You can import the
information they contain into Outlook by importing directly from OE into
Outlook.

2. Opening a PST file is always preferred over importing. Importing will
always lose or alter some data. Importing is for non-native Outlook files.

No. You can either import OE messages from Outlook or export then to
Outlook from OE.

Opening a PST adds that PSTs root to the Folders List in the Navigation
Pane. Importing a PST adds the data in that PST to the current delivery
location.
Which way suggested?

FIle>Open is, I believe, better. Importing alters time stamps and can alter
other data.
