Anyone know where I can get some code that supports
daylight savings time change when using EWF. A way to
commit to OS when detected and reboot? Anyone done this?

Thanks in advance,
Tim

Hi Tim,

I think that Doug done what you want. (To detect change and reboot).

In our system only way user can see or change time it trough our program so we use universal time and we translate it for viewing
purposes only.
No more problems with daylight savings for us.
Use google you will find problem descriptions and some workarounds.

If you have your custom shell that display time ask again so I can help you.

Slobodan,

Thanks for the response. I am using a custom shell that
displays the time and we constantly log time to file. We
also execute the XP Date/Time UI for customers to select
their time zone, so I dont think universal time would work
for us.

I will search for Doug's response to this.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

If you have your custom shell, and above mentioned is the only reason, then you should ask your-self what is easier to implement and
better.
One your dialog for entering time and date. And call to conversion routine during the time show, or all the hassle with registry,
EWF and reboot for you and your user.

Choice is up to you.

Hey Doug,

Any ideas where that sample code could be? I looked at
every google listing with Daylight savings but could not
find it. It would be very useful to me.

Thanks,
Tim
