Outlook 2007
In the day and week views is there a way to only show busy times? By this I
mean that if the only thing I have scheduled for a day is an 8 PM
appointment it will not show up in the day or week initial view unless I
scroll down because the display is showing all of the empty time slots
first. I would like the display to show the 8 PM appt. first because it is
the first thing for that day.

Thanks in advance... Bob

I figured it out - sort of. Though not the solution, here is a workaround
that works. If I tell Outlook to start and end my day at 10 PM (instead of
the usual 8-5) it will only show exceptions to this time frame (busy
periods).

It is no longer working like that for some reason. I guess I still nned the
answer.

No, its not possible in the day view. You need to use the month view (or 2 colum week view in outlook 2003 and earlier). If you use a view with a time scale, its going to show all the time in the time scale.

see http://www.slipstick.com/Tutorials/2wk_cal/2wk_cal.htm for a method to show 2 weeks of a month and see more appointments.

If this is the case do you know of a simple calendar program that will
import Outlook data and give me these basic views?

Thanks... Bob

No, I'm not aware of any calendars that do it but as long as they can import
CSV, you can export from outlook to a format they can import.
