Dates changed on documents

When I open an older memo or document the date changes,
how do I stop it from changing the date on my older
documents?
 
Well that depends on what your opening it up with. In
other words what word processor are you using. If it's
microsoft word, word 2000 word 2003 ect, you'll get more
response if you open +office on the left margin. Post
this in one of those newsgroups.
