Date with Day of Week

Does anyone know of a way to have Excel insert the day of the week with a specific date that is entered?
For instance: Monday, 06/21/04

Any help is appreciated.
 
If you enter the date in Cell E12, the following fomula
placed in D12 will provide the day of the week:

=CHOOSE(WEEKDAY
(E12),"Sunday","Monday","Tuesday","Wednesday","Thursday","F
riday","Saturday")

Is there a way to get rid of Sat in A2 if A1 is blank?
 
You don't need AND as there is only 1 test

=IF(ISBLANK(A1),"",TEXT(A1,"ddd"))
