how do i get the days of the week in a column next to the date column?
i need the name of the day. thnx for help.
 
Hi Malik,

Dates can be formatted to display the day of the week.

Example:

Select the cell and then number format->dates->custom and create your custom
format as ddd dd mmm yyyy will display a date as Thu 04 Oct 2007. If you
really want just the day of the week in a separate cell next to your date
then make the cell equal to the one with the date and custom format it to
just ddd and it will display the day of the week.

dddd will display the day of the week without abbreviation as Thursday.
