Date of format

Hi all

We need to find out when a PC was formatted. Anywhere we
can look? Windows have been installed afterwards as well.
The information must be able to stand in court. If we can
proove that the PC was formatted after the person was
killed, we are alowed to try a data recovery. We decided
to Ghost the drive first and then use Get Data Back. Any
sugestions???

I'm not sure about finding the format date for the drive, but you can
certainly find the Windows installation date. One of the Windows Resource
kit tools will provide that for you - SRVINFO.EXE

If you don't have it then you can download it from the address below, it
should provide full information about most versions of Windows.

Just save SRVINFO.EXE to a convenient location on your drive, then run it in
a Command Prompt window.
