I set the date using the date formula , clicking today.... fine.

When I open worksheet I find the date changes to the date I am opening
it ratrher then keeping the entry date.

I must have accidentally switched something on but can't see what.

The formula =TODAY() is meant to show today's date, that is it updates to
the current date whenever the workbook is in use. If you want to enter the
date at the time of typing and have that fixed thereafter, use CTRL+; (hold
down CTRL whilst typing a semicolon).

Thank you. What puzzled me was, I only recently discovered ( as you do
in Excel) the feature your mention. I have always used the 'TODAY'
feature and it seems the earlier entries are not affected.
