Searched Google but no joy.

Is there a way I can find out what date I last reinstalled Windows XP

Thanks for any info

1. Open XP's "Help and Support" and click on "Use Tools to view your computer info....."
2. Click on "Get information about your computer".
3. Then click on "View the status of my system hardware and software"
and look under "System Software - Date Created".

Thanks for response but could not find any of this - I have a Dell and
they seem to have mucked around with the format of the Help & Support
:-(

But Ramesh gave me the answer in teh MS web site link

Open command prompt, type systeminfo

Thanks for reply. I get:-

'systeminfo' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Is that for XP Pro only? I have Home

But Ramesh has solved my query.

Well the date is as good as the system date/time at the time of
installation. If, for reasons the date was 19/08/2031 10:40:51 then
this is what you will get. What is not clear is whether the time is the
start time or the end time. I shall try this during this easter!! Made
a note in my diary to record the start/stop time!!!

What is the use of this info? Could you shed a light please

Thanks.
