Date Format in a Text Box

I just upgraded from Access 2003 to 2007. I used the following expression in
a report in 2003 that will not work in Access 2007. It almost seems like the
Date() function does not work in Access 2007. Here is the expression:

=Format(Date(), "mmm dd yyyy")

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
