1) When you manually change the Date on a Windows XP Professional machine,
using Control Panel or Date command, does Windows keep a record/history/log
file/
registry entry of Date changes somewhere ??

2) Can I check if and when the Date on a XP machine has been changed ??

Thanks

No

No

AFAIK.

Are you trying to prevent people from changing the date and time? Either
take away their administrative rights, or take a look at:

Start--run--gpedit.msc
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local
Policies\User Rights Assignments\Change the system time.

Ray at work

If you enable the auditing of privilege use you will
get records written into the security event log when
the user right to change the system time is used.

1) Where is the "security event log" ??

2) How do you "enable the auditing of privilege" ??

Thanks
John
