DataGrid Row Selection Highlight?

Is there a way to stop the datagrid from highlighting the column when you
click into it. I want my whole row to be one color when you click on it.
My datagrid is read-only. I've tried setting the column.selectedtext = ""
but I can't find any way to trick it, it highlights the contents when you
click in it. Thanks
